Bells is such an iconic destination, an iconic wave. It has a legend to it. So much so that I've scared myself growing up that I've never actually been in the water here - well no more than knee deep. The power of the shorebreak and how quickly it drops away always turned me off as a kid and now that has seemed to stick on. I'm happy marvelling at the guys from the sidelines carving their paths into it's face... But one day I'll get out there.
